About James “Jim” Walker

James “Jim” Walker was a devoted husband, loving father, and a proud North Carolinian who believed in hard work, kindness, and taking care of the people around him. Born and raised in Charlotte, Jim spent over 25 years working as an automotive technician. He was known throughout his community not just for his skill, but for his honesty — the kind of man who would fix what needed fixing and never take advantage of anyone. Outside of work, Jim loved quiet evenings on the porch, watching college football, and weekend barbecues with family and neighbors. He had a calm presence that made people feel at home. Jim is survived by his wife, Linda Walker, and his children, Ethan and Grace. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, patience, and unconditional love. The lessons he taught — through both words and actions — will continue to guide his family every day. Though he may be gone, his spirit lives on in every shared memory, every laugh, and every moment of strength he inspired.
