About Lori Darleen Krant

Lori was born with her twin sister Shari, to Pearl and Richard Nunn at the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Hollywood, CA. Lori was born at 8:54 and Shari was born at 9:01. Shari says that after Lori was born, it was the best seven minutes of her life, she could finally stretch out! Lori graduated from Westchester High School in 1971 with a Certificate of Honor in Shorthand for being able to write 140 words per minute, which was the fastest in her High School. Lori chose Business as her Major. She learned Typing, Shorthand, Accounting, etc. These classes helped Lori acquire jobs at different law firms as a Legal Secretary. In 1980, Lori first married David Schlicht and in 1985 Brittani, their daughter, was born. Lori sold Mary Kay Cosmetics during this marriage and earned herself a car because of her sales and leadership. Lori's marriage ended in November, 1995. Lori met Guy because she was friends with Guy's sister, Desi. Guy ended up asking Lori if he could pay her to type up some resumes for him. This allowed them to get to know each other and the rest is history! Desi and Guy also helped lead Lori to the Lord. On April 10, 1999, Lori married Guy and he then became Brittani's Stepfather. Brittani later changed her name to Ani. Lori and Guy had been married 27 years when Lori went to be with the Lord. Having a relationship with God and his Son, Jesus Christ, became Lori's focus in life! As Lori and Ani attended church in the High Desert, Lori became very involved by leading Women's and Children's Church, and by volunteering for various other jobs. Within the last couple of years, Lori and Guy were involved in Christian Bible Study groups, and they facilitated other groups such as Rooted, Deep Dive and a marriage-related study called "A Better Us". As Ani grew up, Lori worked at different school sites in the Victor Elementary School District. Lori began working as a full-time Secretary at the Student Assessment Center. For one year, Lori worked as a temporary Site Administrative Manager(SAM) at Puesta Del Sol Elementary. For the rest of her career, Lori worked at the Galileo Academy School. Lori retired from the district in 2019. Lori is survived by her husband, Guy Krant, her daughter, Ani Baker, a twin sister, Shari Metcalfe, a half-sister Terri Nunn Spear, a stepbrother, Elliot Anders and Guy's sister, Desi Escamilla, and many nieces and nephews. Lori died at the age of 72 on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 3:39am while she was at home with her husband, Guy, by her side. Lori had been suffering with Stage 4 Cancer. Lori ended up receiving her ultimate healing in Heaven and her spirit is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lori and Guy were very blessed to have experienced the kind of love that most people desire. They both spent a lot of time together and they took very good care of each other. Guy and the family would like to thank everyone who was involved with Lori's treatments and care and for those who prayed for her throughout her illness. Lori's Celebration of Life will be held on July 18, 2026 at 10:00AM, at the High Desert Church, 14545 Hook Blvd., Victorville, CA, 92394, with Pastor Mike Roberts officiating. Food will be served immediately afterwards.
